The Jackson King V was first made for Robin Crosby of Ratt. Robin's
nick name was King hence the name of the Jackson King V. Ever since the
Jackson KV2 has become a staple in the metal world with its signature
look. The KV2 has a the more slender speed neck rather than the
standard Jackson Soloist neck. It is built for blistering fast speed.
Jackson Guitars have always been known for their fast necks and the King
V is no different. That is due to the compound radius which makes the
fretboard more rounded and concave on the lower frets while it slowly
tapers out to be more flat at the higher frets. This Jackson KV2 King V
is of course made in the USA and is a killer Flying V Guitar. The
Jackson KV2 is also very comfortable to play because unlike a Strat
Style body there is no guitar horn to get in the way on the higher
frets. You will be burning up and down the King V fretboard. The
Jackson KV2 also features an Alder body, quartersawn eastern hard rock
maple neck (through body), compound radius ebony fingerboard, Seymour
Duncan® humbucking pickups, Floyd Rose® Original tremolo and black
hardware.
