This is the Charvel USA Custom Shop Masterbuilt Frank Bello Signature SoCal PJ Bass. The Charvel Custom Shop unveiled the Frank Bello Signature So Cal Bass in 2022. Built by Charvel’s principal master builder Pasquale Campolattano, he builds upon the Anthrax bassist’s existing PJ IV model. This was the last one to be built. 4 went to Frank and there were 6 others that were made available for purchase. This is the last one.
This bass is built with a quartersawn maple neck with black block inlays and an alder body in black. Charvel fits it with a set of Bello’s custom EMG pickups, Hipshot hardware, and a custom mirrored pickguard. Other fine details include blue Luminlay position markers and a compound fingerboard radius. It also ships with a signed copy of Bello’s latest book, custom picks, backstage passes, wristbands, stickers, and an artist-signed certificate of authenticity.
