This is the ESP Gary Holt Signature Liquid Metal Lava Finish Guitar Signed by Gary with FU Tone Upgrades. CMC Guitars was lucky enough to have Gary sign this guitar and now we present it to you to have a piece of Thrash Metal History. The guitar also comes with a COA (Certificate of Authenticity). Gary worked meticulously with ESP to come up with his ultimate dream guitar. It delivers brutal heavy tones and plays with ease. In addition this guitar was upgraded with FU Tone Floyd Rose Upgrades just like Gary's personal guitar and was done by Adam Reiver who did Gary's guitar. The finish is called Liquid Metal Lava. It looks almost 3 dimensional and under black light the red binding on the body and neck glows orange. In addition the ebony fretboard sports glow-in-the-dark side dots so even on a dark stage you will not lose your place on the neck. Gary Holt is a Thrash Metal legend. He is often referred to the Godfather of Thrash. Gary Joined Exodus in the early days and played along side of Kirk Hammett and has played on every Exodus album over the last 30+ years. In 2011 he joined Slayer to take over for Jeff Hannemen and has been playing in both bands ever since.

 

Features include a Mahogany body and 3 piece neck with set neck-thru design, the unmistakable Liquid Metal Lava finish, 22 Extra Jumbo Frets, Ebony Fretboard with 12" (305mm) radius, Thin "U" Neck Profile, Original Floyd Rose Bridge, Schaller Strap Locks, and Gotoh Tuners. Also an ESP Hard-shell case is included. Other premium features include an EMG 81 Bridge Pickup with an EMG 89R Neck Pickup with a coil tap for more tonal possibilities. The EMG 89R pickup is the same as the 89 but the coils are reversed so that the single coil side is nearer the neck to capture that sweet spot. Featuring two pickups in one, the 89R is loaded with Alnico V magnets and has separate preamps each providing custom outputs for both dual coil and single coil modes. In dual coil mode, the sound is rich, warm and powerful, but still very clear and is similar to the 85. The single coil mode, accessed via the included push pull pot, delivers the traditional Strat single coil sound: bright, airy, and chimey, and is similar to the EMG SA. In either mode, the clean sound is gorgeously pristine and has a lot of presence. Used equally in bridge and neck positions, whether you are playing Metal, Hard Rock or Smooth Jazz, you can get it all with this beautifully balanced and versatile pickup.
