This is a Fender American Standard Stratocaster Prototype Strat Black Guitar.  This is an extremely rare guitar and a collectors piece. It is a one-of-a-kind. Fender in its 60+ year history has never sold a prototype guitar...until now.  Fender had a summer dealer appreciation event where they made available a limited number of prototypes to their top dealers.  This is one of the ones we picked up.  This particular Fender Strat was a prototype for the Fender Standard Stratocaster when Fender was trying out different looks and finishes for the 2012 models. The guitar comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity signed by the CEO of Fender stating it is a prototype. So this is a guitar you want to keep and stash away.  20 years from now it will probably be worth a small fortune. This is a must have. Its modern €œC shaped maple neck and fretboard with a 9.5 radius with 22 medium jumbo frets, a black finish with a stylish tortoise shell pickguard. The pickups are a Fender Stratocaster N3 single-coil pickups with five-way switching. Grab this while you can. This is a piece of Fender history that will only go up in value.
