This is a Fender Custom Shop '62 Strat Relic Stratocaster Olympic White Guitar. This Strat is a classic. The Fender Custom Shop really outdid themselves with this one. 1962 was a great year for Fender Stratocasters and this one has the vintage look and sound with a few modern twists and result is amazing. This guitar is very light weighing in at only 7.6 lbs. The guitar features a 60's style beautifully figured Dark Indian Rosewood Slab Fretboard with a maple neck with 62's Oval "C" Profile. This Strat also features '60's Fender Custom Shop Pickups for that classic sound. The body is a lightweight Ash with a lacquer finish that has been given the Heavy Relic Treatment and is finished off with Vintage Aged Hardware. We put a more modern 9.5" radius on the fretboard and 6105 Medium Jumbo Frets for better playability. This guitar is a true player.

This Fender Custom Shop Strat boasts an ash body with a lacquer finish. The 2-piece quartersawn Maple neck is wrapped with a nitro tint finish that has been worn off and sports a 60's Oval "C" shape with a Dark Indian Rosewood Fretboard. The 3-ply mint pickguard and 5-way pickup switch with '60 Fender Custom Shop single-coil pickups.

Heavy Relic Treatment - What's the deal???
As a member of the Fender Custom Shop Time Machine Series, this Strat is treated with the Heavy Relic treatment. This means the instrument is finished to resemble an instrument that has enjoyed a long life of heavy use. This includes significant wear and tear to the finish, dings to the body, neck, and headstock, and aged hardware. The end result is an instrument that looks like it's been around for a while and plays like a broken-in instrument.  After playing one of the Heavy Relic Time Machine Strats there is no other way to go. Just like your favorite old pair of jeans it just feels right.
