This is a Fender Custom Shop Eric Clapton Strat Signature Stratocaster Midnight Blue Guitar.  Eric "Slow Hand" Clapton needs no introduction. The Eric Clapton Signature Series Stratocaster Guitar from the Fender Custom Shop is made to Eric Clapton's exact specs. This is the guitar that Eric uses. It is one of the most amazing Stratocasters to ever come out of the custom shop.  It produces beautiful bell like tones that are crystal-clear.  But can still get as nasty as you want it to.  It is loaded with some really cool features as well that make this one of the most versatile guitars Fender makes. The Custom Shop Eric Clapton Signature Stratocaster® guitar features an alder body, special soft V-shaped maple neck, three Vintage Noiseless„ pickups, blocked tremolo and Claptons signature on the headstock.

If you haven't played on of these Strats you don't know what you are missing.  It features some really useful features that are unique to the Eric Clapton Signature Stratocaster.  Tone Control #1 has the TBX„ Tone Control Circuit installed. This detented, stacked 250k/1 Meg control enhances your tonal palette without the use of a battery. From 0 to 5, the TBX is your standard tone control, but once you pass 5 you start to decrease the resistance, which allows more bass, treble, presence and output to flow to your amp.  A lot of people think of the TBX tone control as a treble boost, but thats not quite accurate. The TBX control actually consists of a custom dual-ganged pot (aka a €œstacked or €œstereo pot), a resistor, and a capacitor that cuts the bass and treble out of the circuit, depending on which way you turn the knob. This can add some new dimension to your solo parts, especially if you are going for those bright, crystal clear Jeff Beck/Eric Clapton tones.
 
Tone Control #2 has the Eric Clapton Master Active Mid Boost (0-25dB) kit installed which does just what the name suggests.  At "0" the circuit is off.  When going from 1-10 a 25dB Boost is gradually added to the signal along with a boost in the mid frequencies. It is a highly functional feature that will add to your tonal options.
