This is a Fender Custom Shop NOS 57 Stratocaster Strat Blackguard Sea Foam Green Guitar. The Fender Custom Shop Blackguard Strat Series is a CMC Guitars Exclusive. We always loved the look of the early Blackguard Telecasters and Nocasters. So we thought why not bring that look to a classic Stratocaster that only came with a white pickguard. So we picked the ever classic '57 Strat to give this subtle make over to. We also made a few other small tweaks to the standard specs. We had the body hand picked for a lightweight piece of Alder. This guitar weighs in a light 7.4 lbs. And we also decided to load this beauty with Fender Custom Shop Fat '50's Pickups and a Bone Nut. The neck is a Lightly Tinted Quartsawn Maple Neck with an Eric Clapton '57 Soft "V" Profile which is one of the most comfortable necks Fender makes. And we set this strat up with a 5-Way pickup switch. And for the fretboard and fret this strat has a flatter 9.5" Radius and 6105 Jumbo Narrow Frets. So this baby is a player. This Fender Custom Shop Strat boasts a lightweight Alder body with a lacquer finish. The 1-piece quartersawn maple neck is wrapped with a finish and sports an Eric Clapton Soft "V" shape. The single-ply Black Pickguard and 5-way pickup switch with Fender Custom Shop Fat 50's single-coil pickups.
