This is a Fender Custom Shop NOS 63 Stratocaster Strat 3 Tone Sunburst Guitar. At CMC Guitars we wanted to create a classic 1963 Fender Stratocaster with a couple of upgrades that many modern players like while maintaining the spirit and killer sound that the early 60's Strats are known for. We always loved the look of those early 60's Stratocasters too. So you are looking at a Classic Fender Stratocaster as it would have looked pulling it off the rack in 1963. Just look at the burst on this guitar. It really pops on that Select Lightweight Alder Body. Love it. But when you get under the hood of the guitar you will find a few slight changes to the original specifications. We added the 5-Way Pickup Selector Switch to instead of the standard 3-Way that you would have found in the original '63 Strat. Also, we put a flatter 9.5" Fretboard Radius instead of the Vintage 7.25" Radius for easier bending and soloing. And we put the Medium Jumbo 6105 Frets on this Strat to make it even easier to play. Other than those upgrades this is how you would have found this guitar in 1963. It is a player. Also, we had the body hand picked for a lightweight piece of Alder. This guitar weighs in a light 7.2 lbs. And we also decided to load this beauty with Fender Custom Shop '60's Pickups and a Bone Nut. The neck is a Lightly Tinted Quartsawn Maple Neck with the classic thin 60's Oval "C" Profile which is one of the thinnest necks on a Fender Strat. And for the fretboard we paid the extra cash to have a Hand Select Dark Indian Rosewood Fretboard. So against the Killer 3 Tone Sunburst the Dark Indian Rosewood Fretboard looks incredible. This Fender Custom Shop Strat will be a great addition to any collection. Don't let this one get away.
