The Fender Custom Shop Statocaster Masterbuilt John Cruz Claro Walnut Top Koa Strat Guitar is a one-of-a-kind beauty featured at the 2015 NAMM Show. This is was built by Masterbuilder John Cruz. If you are "in the know" about the Fender Custom Shop then you know John Cruz's guitars are hard to come by. There is a long wait time to get one of his guitars. So here is your chance to grab a John Cruz NAMM Guitar. Be sure to check out the video of John Cruz giving the run down of the guitar. The body is a stunning piece of Flamed Koa in a with a 5A Quilted Claro Walnut Top along with a 5A Flamed Koa Neck with a Poly Finish on the entire guitar. This Masterbuilt Strat features the more modern 9.5" Fretboard radius which is a flatter than the standard vintage radius which makes it a little easier to make big bends. In addition John Cruz put Dunlop 6100 Jumbo Frets on this Stratocaster so it you will glide over the fretboard. This Stratocaster also features Gold Hardware with a Vintage Hardtail Bridge and Vintage Tuners. John Cruz loaded this guitar with a custom wound set of Kloppman '57 Pickups with a 3-Way Toggle. The pickups are German made and truly complement this guitar. There is plenty of twang in these pickups but have the warmth and roundness of vintage PAF's.
