Jackson USA Custom Shop Soloist HS NAMM 2016 Archtop Korina Guitar
This is the Jackson USA Custom Shop Soloist HS NAMM 2016 Archtop Korina Guitar. This was one-off from the Jackson Custom Shop for the NAMM 2016 Show and this it is absolutely stunning. And to to top it off it is one of the best sounding guitars to ever come through the shop. The top is a gorgeous Quilted Maple Amber Sunburst Stained Top in a Satin Finish with a Quilted Natural Maple Binding along with a beautiful Flamed Korina Body. Wow. It is Masterbuilt by Mike Shannon and Pat McGarry so it makes it even more special. The tone is thick and rich. This guitar also features a 24 Jumbo Stainless Steel Frets with Binding Over Frets, Abalone Sharkfin Inlays and Jackson Logo on a Reverse Headstock for a classy twist. The fretboard has the the classic Jackson compound (12"-16") radius and the bridge is a Tune-O-Matic String-thru with a Single Recessed Volume Knob with an Abalone Inlay. For Pickups Jackson loaded it with a Seymour Duncan Super Distortion in the Bridge and a Seymour Duncan SSL-6 Single Coil in the Neck postion with a Recessed 3-Way Blade Pickup Selector Switch. For Tuners we have the LSR Locking Tuners. And to top it all off the jack placement is on the back of the guitar angled up and away so it stays out of your way. This is a truly custom one of a kind work of art. This guitar is a keeper. It should be noted that when the guitar was stained they taped off the guitar in a way that stained over the Maple Top Binding. Take a look at the pictures. They probably should have actually followed the contours of the binding and not stained the binding. They did it like the Chris Broderick guitars but the Brodericks have painted backs so it is not noticable on those. But regardless, this instrument is amazing and definitely a keeper. Don't let this one get away.
