This is the Jackson USA Signature PC1 PHIL COLLEN Satin Trans Amber Guitar. The Jackson® Signature Series Phil Collen PC1 guitar got a makeover for 2017. The PC1 is the result of nearly 30 years of collaboration between Collen and Jackson. If you've never played one of these you don't know what you are missing. For 2017 the PC1 now features Caramelized Tone Woods. Caramelizing wood is achieved by baking the wood in an over which turns the wood a Caramel color. In addition to looking great it adds to the stability and tone of the wood. It in accelerates the aging process of the wood. So the Mahogany Body, Quartersawn Maple Neck and Flamed Maple Fretboard have all been Caramelized. This Jackson Guitar is pure tone. How could it not be with all of the beautiful tone woods used in its construction. This 2017 PC1 also has a natural thin hand rubbed urethane Finish that feels like raw wood and Satin Gold Hardware which looks really classy. Of course, every Jackson PC1 Guitar comes equipped with the Jackson Sustainer/Driver. The Sustainer provides endless possibilities for violin like sustain and controlled feedback. You can dial it in with a blend knob and switch between the sustain and a feedback artificial harmonic type sustain. You will not want to put this guitar down.
